A mattress store in my town is running a promotion. “We’ll beat our competitor’s price or your mattress is free!”
I would love to meet the moronic salesman who would give you a free mattress because he couldn’t beat the price of the guy across the street. In fact, I’m in the market for a new mattress; so if anyone knows the dimwit that will give me one free, let me know.
Another dopey promo I’ve seen is “If you’re not completely satisfied with our product, we’ll give you another one free!” Fantastic. The first one was a useless lump of plastic. Now you’re going to give me another one? So I can have matching reminders of money stupidly spent?
Anyone who tries to “take advantage” of these promotions should be sterilized immediately so as to slow their pollution of the gene pool.
